Pheasant Garden Ornaments: A Stand-In Bird Range
Frequently Asked Questions
How does delivery, returns and contact work?
UK delivery is free on orders over £50, with a flat rate below that. Orders ship within one working day from our Cotswolds workshop, packed in recyclable materials. Returns are accepted within 30 days for a full refund, with no restocking fees. If something arrived damaged or you need help choosing, email hello@backyardbliss.co.uk and we usually reply within a few hours.
Do you actually stock a pheasant ornament?
No, honestly. We do not currently carry a pheasant-shaped piece. The five pieces gathered here are bird-shaped alternatives for gardeners who came looking for a pheasant. If a pheasant is non-negotiable for your border, you are better off looking elsewhere this season. We would rather flag the gap than pretend the range fits the search.
Which piece comes closest to a pheasant shape?
The Fairy on Bird is the closest in spirit: a stylised bird body under a small fairy figure, finished in bronze-effect paint. The bird shape underneath is generic enough to look like a game-bird silhouette from a few paces. It is not a true pheasant though, with no long tail and no red wattles around the eye. If you want a brighter colour against the planting instead, the Colourful Kingfisher works.
What about the kingfisher and robins?
The Colourful Kingfisher is a poised perching piece on a low stake, brilliant blue back and orange breast, sized for the front of a damp border. The Radiant Robins are a bright red-breasted pair for a pot rim or a step. Neither resembles a pheasant; both work as bright-colour-against-green bird pieces if a strict species match is not the point.
Will the Bird in Hands Birdbath attract real birds?
Yes. The basin is shallow, between one and three centimetres deep at the centre, which is what small garden birds want for wading and splashing. Set it on a flat paving pad three or four paces back from a shrub so the birds have cover to flit back to. Refill with a watering can in dry weather and tip the basin before a hard frost.
Are these all cast resin?
Yes, all five pieces are cast resin throughout with painted finishes that read as metal, bronze or stone at three or four paces. The construction gives you the look without the weight, the cost or the theft worry of solid metalwork. Frost-proof through a wet British winter, sun-fast through a July heatwave. A soft brush twice a year keeps the painted detail clean.
Where else should I look for game-bird shapes?
Honestly nowhere in our catalogue right now. If we add a pheasant or partridge piece in future it will live here and in the wider birds range. For the bird shapes we do carry, the metal bird garden ornaments and modern bird garden ornaments ranges gather them, and the working bird feeders and baths range covers pond-side pieces.
