About Pig Garden Ornaments & Statues

Pig Garden Ornaments: Bronze, White and Pink Pigs

Pigs at Backyard Bliss is an eight-piece pig garden ornaments range across bronze, white and pink finishes, plus a couple of pig-and-duck farmyard pairings. The Bronze Happy Pig Garden Ornament is the headline piece, Rasher the Pig the cheekier-named sister piece, and the Pair of Bronze Pigs the obvious paired-up option. Happy Pig in white and the Sitting Elegant Pig cover the cleaner finishes; the Pink Pig Family Ornament Set rounds out the colour range with a softer fairy-pink trio.

The bronze pigs

The Bronze Happy Pig Garden Ornament is a cheerful seated pig in warm bronze-effect paint, sized for a flagstone at the front of a border or a porch corner where it reads at close pass. Rasher the Pig is the slightly looser cousin, same bronze finish, slightly more relaxed pose. The Pair of Bronze Pigs gives you the two-pig set, sitting noticeably better as a pair on a planted pot edge or at the foot of a gravel run than either piece alone. Cast resin throughout, heavy enough to sit without pegging.

The white, pink and family pieces

The Happy Pig - White is the cleaner finish: same cheerful seated pose, painted bright white, ideal against a stone wall or a clipped green hedge. The Sitting Elegant Pig is the calmer alternative, painted in soft cream-grey, sized for a paving slab beside a planted pot. The Pink Pig Family Ornament Set is the playful piece: a soft fairy-pink trio of mother and piglets, the kind of grouping that reads well at the front of a strawberry bed or a vegetable patch where a real piglet wandering would not look out of place. The Pig and Ducks Farmyard Friends Ornament Set and Pig + Duck Bundle add a duck-and-pig combination for the full farmyard.

Where to place a pig piece

Pigs ground naturally at the front of planting: the front edge of a vegetable bed, beside a row of strawberries, at the foot of a planted pot or on a flagstone at the porch corner. The Bronze Happy Pig and Rasher want a quieter background (gravel, a stone wall, a clipped hedge) so the bronze tone holds its read. The Happy Pig - White and Sitting Elegant Pig do the opposite: they work best against a darker green planting or a brick wall where the lighter finish pops. The Pink Pig Family wants three or four feet of clear space so the trio looks like a family rather than a stacked huddle.

Cast resin through a wet British year

All eight pieces are cast resin and frost-proof, painted in UV-stable colour that handles a January freeze and a July heatwave without cracking. The bronze pieces deepen slightly over a wet winter and hold from there. The white piece shows green-tinged algae if it sits in sodden mulch all winter, so a flagstone underneath helps the surface stay clean. The pink finish on the family set holds through several seasons; a soft brush twice a year keeps pollen out of the detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does delivery, returns and contact work?

UK delivery is free on orders over £50, with a flat rate below that. Orders ship within one working day from our Cotswolds workshop, packed in recyclable materials. Returns are accepted within 30 days for a full refund, with no restocking fees. If something arrived damaged or you need help choosing, email hello@backyardbliss.co.uk and we usually reply within a few hours.

What is the difference between Bronze Happy Pig and Rasher the Pig?

Same bronze-effect painted finish, slightly different pose and personality. The Bronze Happy Pig is the cheerful upright seated pig, clean lines, the obvious headline piece. Rasher the Pig sits a bit more relaxed, a slightly looser shape, the cousin with a touch more character. Either works as a single front-of-border piece; the two read well together as siblings on either side of a planted pot.

Which pig piece is best for a vegetable garden?

The Pink Pig Family Ornament Set is the natural fit: a soft fairy-pink mother-and-piglets trio that looks like a piglet family wandering past the strawberries or beans. The grouping wants three or four feet of clear space at the front of the bed so the trio looks like a family rather than a stacked huddle. Avoid placing it deep inside the planting where the trio gets lost.

Will the white pig stay white through winter?

The painted white is UV-stable and holds its colour through several seasons without yellowing. The issue is not the paint, it is green-tinged algae if the piece sits in sodden mulch all winter; soft mossy growth picks up against any bright white surface. Lift the piece onto a flagstone or paver underneath, especially through deep winter, and the surface stays clean year after year.

Can I mix the bronze and white pieces?

Yes, and it works well if you give each piece its own background. Put the bronze pieces against a quieter background (gravel, clipped hedge, stone wall) and the white piece against a darker background (brick wall, dark green planting). Mixing the finishes inside a single pot cluster can read busy; spacing them across the border keeps each one legible.

Are these all the same pig shape, repainted?

Not quite. The Bronze Happy Pig and Happy Pig - White share the cheerful seated shape; the Sitting Elegant Pig is a calmer pose with cleaner lines; Rasher is a slightly looser cousin of the Happy Pig; the Pink Pig Family is a separate sculpt with a mother and piglets. The Pair of Bronze Pigs is the two-pig set in the headline shape. Different sculpts, related family.

How does this range compare to the bronze-only pig range?

This range carries every pig piece across all finishes. The bronze pig garden ornaments range carries only the bronze-finish pieces, useful if you want a unified bronze read across the border. For the farmyard pairing with ducks, browse farm animals or the ducks range.
