Yes. The copper and metal feeders are working pieces, sized and shaped for blue tits, goldfinches, sparrows and other small garden birds. Place them within a few wingbeats of cover (a hedge, a climbing rose, an apple-tree skirt) so the visiting birds feel safe to land. Yes, slowly. The copper develops a soft verdigris over the first wet winter, deepening through the second season. Most owners leave the patina, it grounds the copper against ivy and dark fencing. If you prefer bright copper, a polish with a soft cloth and a copper-friendly cleaner once a year restores it. Either way the feeder works the same.
