Frequently Asked Questions
How does delivery, returns and contact work?
UK delivery is free on orders over £50, with a flat rate below that. Orders ship within one working day from our Cotswolds workshop, packed in recyclable materials. Returns are accepted within 30 days for a full refund, with no restocking fees. If something arrived damaged or you need help choosing, email hello@backyardbliss.co.uk and we usually reply within a few hours.
Will any of these look like a labrador?
None of the three is an exact labrador. The Boxer Puppy Sitting Stone Statue is the closest in shape, with a solid head and a sitting pose that suits a labrador owner up close. If you want a matte-black coat, the black labrador statues are the proper match. The Mini Westies and Fairy on Dog work best as part of a grouping rather than as labrador stand-ins.
Are these statues frost-proof for a British winter?
Yes. All three are cast resin made to withstand a wet January and a July heatwave without cracking or fading. The paint finishes (stone-effect on the Boxer Puppy, white on the Westies, bronze-effect on the Fairy on Dog) are UV-stable and hold colour through several seasons. Lifting them off sodden mulch onto a flat paver or tile extends the finish further.
What size is the Boxer Puppy Sitting Stone Statue?
He's the biggest piece in this run: a sitting pup with a wrinkled muzzle and a square jaw, detailed enough to read at close range. Cast resin with a stone-effect paint, heavy enough to sit on a gravel path or porch corner without needing to be pegged. Full dimensions and current price are on the product page.
Where should I place the Mini Westies for best effect?
The Mini Westies work best grouped as a pair: beside a gravel border, at the base of a pot cluster, or flanking a step. They read as two dogs rather than a solo piece, so giving them a shared spot (a planted tub, a flagstone corner) suits them better than dropping one alone on open lawn. You can buy a single Westie or the pair together; current prices are on the product page.
How do these compare with other dog breed ornaments you stock?
For every dog shape we carry, browse the large dog statues range. Other breed cuts nearby: the british bulldog range for a stockier build and the french bulldog ornament range for something compact at a door.
Do these pieces need any seasonal care?
Very little. A soft brush over the stone-effect finish on the Boxer Puppy once or twice a year keeps dust and pollen out of the detail (skip the power wash, it's rougher on painted resin than people expect). Tip standing water off any horizontal surface before a hard frost. The bronze-effect Fairy on Dog holds colour longer if it's lifted onto a paver and kept off sodden mulch through the winter.
