The hares are cast from a frost-proof resin mix. The warm matte finish looks like carved timber from a few paces, with a grain-like surface and softened colour closer to turned wood than polished bronze or glazed ceramic. Real carved hardwood tends to split and lift after a couple of wet British winters; the resin build keeps the look without the seasonal damage.

The Large March Hares Ornament Set stands over 40cm, the biggest pieces in the catalogue. The Large Moon-Gazing pairs measure 38cm and 36cm, a close second in presence but in the upright skyward pose rather than the running March stance. Both sets work as focal pieces on a lawn edge or by a porch.

Yes. The resin mix is weather-rated and built for British conditions. The matte finishes (mottled white, brown, graphite, verdigris and bronze-effect) hold colour through named-storm gales and hard frosts. A soft cloth wipe in spring clears pollen and grit. No sealing, oiling or touch-up needed through the year.

The pairs want a clear skyline above them so the upward pose holds. A corner of lawn, the edge of a gravel path, or either side of a step all work well.
