Frequently Asked Questions
How does delivery, returns and contact work?
UK delivery is free on orders over £50, with a flat rate below that. Orders ship within one working day from our Cotswolds workshop, packed in recyclable materials. Returns are accepted within 30 days for a full refund, with no restocking fees. If something arrived damaged or you need help choosing, email hello@backyardbliss.co.uk and we usually reply within a few hours.
Why are there two memorial collection pages?
Shopify holds both handles in the system, and buyers arrive at each from slightly different search variants. Rather than redirect one to the other, we keep both pages live with the same three pieces and a slightly different focus to each. The main range page is the memorial garden ornaments page; this page exists as a search-variant landing point.
What does the inscription on the cat piece say?
The moulded line reads "You have left our lives but you will never leave our hearts". It is part of the cast resin rather than painted on, so the lettering holds through years of weather without fading or peeling. The piece is 22cm wide and 2.5kg, sized as a close-range grave-marker.
How tall is the Angel on Plinth?
119cm tall, including the integral cast-stone plinth base. The plinth and the figure are cast as one piece for stability, which matters at this height. It is a lawn-anchor scale rather than a planted-corner scale.
Will the pieces last outdoors year-round?
Yes. The Cat Statue Memorial is cast resin with a UV-stable finish, frost-proof through wet Januarys and July heat. The Cherubs and the Angel on Plinth are reconstituted cast stone, made for wet UK winters and stable through named-storm gales. Sit cast-stone pieces on a flat drained pad rather than directly on sodden mulch.
Where should the memorial piece sit in the garden?
The spot is usually already settled, where the burial is, where ashes were scattered, where a memorial tree was planted. A flat slab or a small pea-gravel bed under the base keeps the piece level. Plant low and evergreen around the edge to soften the setting. Keep the piece off mown lawn so a strimmer cannot reach it.
How do I choose between the cat memorial, the cherubs and the angel?
Scale and role. The Cat Statue Memorial is the small inscribed grave-marker for a close-range corner. The Cherubs are figural bookends for a planted setting, smaller in scale and best placed as a pair. The Angel on Plinth is the lawn-anchor focal point for a clear corner under a memorial tree or at the end of a planted walk. For a small back garden the Cat or the Cherubs usually fit better than the 119cm Angel.
