Metal Grate Bird Feeder

I've had my bird feeder up for over a week but the birds won't use it. I got fed up with them tossing seed all over the lawn and flower bed from their regular feeder and thought this would solve the problem as the seed collects in a tray. It's smaller than expected and a little fiddly to fill (you have to unscrew and remove the top rather than just lifting the lid up) but I filled mine with a mixture of seed and meal worms. The hole at the bottom is quite small but adequate for the seed to come out, but the birds dont seem to like perching on the edge and leaning in. I've now hung the old one back up and have to put up with a load of spilt seed every day. Maybe the birds in my garden are just fussy and spoilt; others might have more success with it.
A quality and pleasing addition to the garden to help the birds. I just feel the opening for the seeds to drop into the tray is slightly too small therefore the sunflower hearts have to be teased out manually
Good value and the little birds love them
And it keeps the food dry.
